On the seventh commemoration of the International Day of Remembrance of and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism on 21 August 2024, V-Europe gathered in Brussels to honor the powerful voices of victims. Joined by those who have experienced the devastating effects of terrorism, we came together to reflect on their journeys and the meaningful change they inspire through their stories.
This day was not only about remembrance; it was an opportunity to raise awareness about the long-lasting impact of terrorism and to amplify the voices that call for collective action towards a future defined by peace, solidarity, and resilience.Following the commemoration, we enjoyed a heartfelt picnic in Jubilee Park, allowing participants to connect and share their experiences in a more personal setting. This moment of togetherness underscored the strength we find in community and support as we work towards a common goal of healing and empowerment.
