On January 30, 2024, V-Europe participated online in the International Workshop on Trauma-Informed Practices: Improving Support for Professionals in Public Institutions.
This workshop was organized by the Research Line ‘Human Rights and Transitional Justice’, coordinated by Stephan Parmentier at the Leuven Institute of Criminology, KU Leuven, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belgium.
With the increasing prevalence of Post-Traumatic Stress symptoms in Europe, awareness around trauma-informed practices is becoming increasingly important. Various speakers active in international organizations as well as in the research and policy field further explained these practices, and space was provided afterward to conduct a discussion among the different participants of the workshop.
